Description:
The City of Fort Myers (City) requests submittals from interested and qualified Consultant/Contractors to provide qualified and certified sign language interpreters or interpreting agencies to provide interpretation services for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. Services may be required in various settings including, but not limited to, public meetings, public events, training sessions, and one-on-one appointments. The contract will be for on-call, as-needed services with potential for regular scheduling.Scope of Work Includes:On-site and remote (video) sign language interpretation.Services during regular business hours, evenings, and weekends as required.Interpretation for a variety of settings and client needs.Compliance with ADA requirements and confidentiality standards.Qualifications:Certified sign language interpreters (e.g., RID certification).Experience working in diverse environments.Ability to respond to service requests with short notice.Quote Submission Should Include:Hourly and/or per-session rates (regular and emergency).Travel or cancellation policies.Copies of certifications and licenses.References or past performance examples.
