- To augment the existing pilot program extending basic dental care to residents in long term care facilities (LTCF) to improve oral health, reduce the incidence of Nursing Home Acquired Pneumonia (NHAP) caused by inhaling oral infections, and improve glycemic control for diabetic residents using a training team composed of a dental hygienist and a dental assistant to train and mentor LTCF care staff in oral hygiene assistance. LTCFs that are participating in the current Pilot Project are eligible. S26-018
