The Defense Health Agency (DHA) Medical Logistics (MEDLOG) Division Medical Materiel Enterprise Standardization Office (MMESO) and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support Medical/Surgical Prime Vendor (MSPV) program anticipate issuing a Sources Sought notification for the establishment of a Qualified Suppliers Listing (QSL) for Skin Staplers through the SAM.gov website on or about 09 February 2025. This is not a request for quote or proposal.
Examples of items for this Skin Staplers product line could include but are not limited to: sterile, single patient use skin staplers with various handles, preloaded with stainless steel staples, in regular and wide sizes. These products are intended to be used for external skin closure. The skin staplers with reloadable, reprocessed, absorbable, or rotating head are excluded from this project. Products are not made with natural rubber latex.
The primary objective of this effort will be to solicit information and products for evaluation in order to create a QSL. The subject QSL will be the basis of a separate Standardization Action (SA) resulting in an Incentive Agreement (IA). This initiative will be part of the MSPV program which is executed by the DLA Troop Support, Directorate of Medical Materiel.
To participate in the QSL process vendors must have or be in the process of obtaining a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) and a separate commercial agreement with the current Medical/Surgical PV for each MMESO Area of Responsibility (AOR), i.e., Cardinal Health, and Owens & Minor. Vendors must validate that their account is Active in the System for Award Management (SAM) and provide Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code.
