- Bid Synopsis:The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) requests bids for the hauling approximately 5680 cubic yards of ¾” gravel with spreading and compacting the gravel at the approximate locations on the Project Map. Gravel to be supplied by DNR from the existing Price Creek Gravel Pit stockpiles (see Project Map for location) or supplied from another non-DNR source by contractor. A loader is NOT supplied to load the DNR stock piled material into trucks. Work includes contractor grading the existing road surface of the entire length of Skinner Creek Road. Skinner Creek Road is located in Rusk County. The Flambeau River State Forest owns just the 3.3 mile section between Hwy M and Rusk County Forest-s portion of Skinner Creek Road at the “Leaving Flambeau River State Forest Sign”. Road will be closed to traffic during project, contractor is responsible for signage.
