All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research, and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research.The intent of this notice is to determine the availability of product that will meet the criteria on the following draft specification:Snow scale measuring device which measures the snow water equivalent (SWE) of the snow pack with a high level of precision and reliability. Measuring range 1000 MM. Automatic continuous measurement of snow-water-equivalent (SWE) of snowpack, SDI-12 Output, heavy duty 6061 T-6 Structural aluminum frame and perforated 5052-H32 machined aluminum load panels, waterproof electronics control box with integrated lightning protection. 20M data cable in flexible jacketed waterproof metal conduit. Animal Resistant. Snow Scales SSG-2, or Equal. Potential offerors having product capabilities necessary to meet the needs of the described requirement are invited to provide a capabilities statement via e-mail. The Capability statements must include the following: 1) Company name and Point of Contact information 2) UEI number3) Small Business Size/Certification (to include 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, etc.)4) Proposed product Manufacturer name, part number and technical literature.
