- The Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation (FPR) is inviting written proposals for plowing roadways, parking areas, and/or boat launches, and spreading sand or salt when necessary, at four Vermont State Parks within the northwest region: Kill Kare State Park, Lake Carmi State Park, Sand Bar State Park, and Niquette Bay State Park for the winter 2025-2026 season. Plowing is to occur in the event of four or more inches of snow within the contract period. Sanding, salting, and snow drift removal is to occur as needed, and as determined by FPR. Sand will be requested rather than salt in nearly all scenarios.
