Description:
The purpose of this bid, and the requirement contract awarded following an evaluation of the bids received, is to provide sodium hypochlorite solution used to reduce E. coli bacteria concentrations to within the respective National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit limits in the processes at the Easterly, Southerly, and Westerly Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs) of the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD). This contract is for a one (1) year period or until funds appropriated to this contract are exhausted, whichever should occur first.The total quantity to be furnished under the terms of this contract is estimated to be 8,200,000 wet pounds (820,000 gallons) of sodium hypochlorite solution (NaOCl) as specified. By the submission of a bid, the bidder warrants that it understands that this estimate was prepared by the NEORSD for the purpose of comparison of bids, and that this estimated quantity is not guaranteed, but is approximate.
