Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement for Davit Electric Load Hoist in accordance with (IAW) task description, drawings and CDRLs.
The proposed contract action is for the supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, BRAND NAME Electro Lift Inc, 204 Sargeant Way, Clifton NJ 07013, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. This is being sole sourced because Electro Lift was chosen to be the supplier of the hoist because this particular item is currently on the fielded Davits and has proven successful over their life. There are currently spare parts and supplies for this particular manufacturer and item in supply. The Davit SPALT modifications have been designed with this particular manufacturer and item number (Insert brief basis for sole source). All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
