Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement for hydrophone housing P/N 6029163-301 Rev L, in accordance with drawings and statement of work. This will include first article testing.
The proposed contract action is for the supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, D & D Automation, INC., 1207 East Dallas Drive, Terre Haute, Indiana 47802 under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. This is being sole sourced because NSWC Crane intends to qualify new vendors to be placed on an existing IDIQ. This award is part of the qualification process. The cost and permissions to qualify a new vendor must be authorized by SP-24 Program Office and for them to fund Crane to complete the qualification. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
