THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE NON-PERSONAL SERVICES CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA), Western Markets Contracting Division (WMCD), San Diego, intends to negotiate and award a firm fixed price contract for Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health Equipment for annual calibration / corrective maintenance service, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.501(a), only one source being available to meet the Government-s needs, to:

The objective of this sole source award is to procure non-personal services to perform comprehensive preventative maintenance, inspection, calibration, system upgrades, adjustments, and safety and operational checks in accordance with (IAW) the Performance Work Statement to ensure the Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health Equipment-s being utilized at U.S. Naval Hospital Yokosuka (USNYJ), Branch Health Clinics (BHC) Atsugi, Iwakuni, and Sasebo, Japan. All scheduled servicing shall meet all manufacturer (OEM) specifications and applicable regulatory requirements. The contractor shall be ISO 17025/ ANSI Z540.3 accredited and only allow certified repair personnel to provide calibration/maintenance services on equipment.
Service shall include calibration for each equipment IAW the manufacturer-s OEM specifications. Corrective maintenance shall be provided when necessary to complete the required calibration.
