SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT - Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane), intends to solicit and negotiate a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) with the possibility of Firm-Fixed-Pricing (FFP) Job Order (JO) 0001 made under the five year Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N0016425GJQ32 to Meggitt Defense Systems, 9801 Muirlands Boulevard, Irvine, CA 92618 (CAGE 62228), under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). The proposed contract action will be for the purchase of Liquid Air Palletized Systems (LAPS), Air Handling Units (AHUs), PIO Spare Parts, Engineering Support, Repair parts and associated data.
The proposed contract action is a job order for which the Government intends to be award in quarter one of fiscal year 2026 under FAR Part 16. The contemplated contract action will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1: Only one responsible source will satisfy agency requirements. Meggitt Defense Systems is the only company with the requisite expertise, knowledge, experience, and facilities necessary to meet these requirements without unacceptable delays. The basis for restricting competition is the lack of a technical data package necessary to support competition.
