This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued.This solicitation is issued as an RFQ. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular, FAC Number 2025-04, effective date 06/11/2025.This solicitation is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339112, with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees.The FSC/PSC is 6515.BACKGROUND: The Sterile Processing Department at the Northport VA medical Center in Northport, NY wishes to purchase fifteen (15) Case Carts due to the current old inventory not meeting the demands of an increased Operating Room workload. There is a lack of available big case carts to accommodate the amount of instruments that are used in the Sterile Processing Department. Not having these carts has been causing delays in operating room cases. The current Case Carts SPD is using cannot pass through the decontamination door causing SPD Technicians to come out of the Decontamination room to wipe the Case Carts which is unacceptable due to potential Staff and patient safety.The department needs additional carts to maintain a higher rate of availability to ensure that all instruments for surgical procedures are being contained in a case cart for Safe transport to and from the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Department.
