SOURCE CODE PURCHASE OF BLUE YONDER INC. MRO AND EPP SOFTWARE WITH TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICES
The Commander Fleet Readiness Centers has a requirement to purchase the source code for Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) and Enterprise Project Planner (EPP) are a part of a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) application suite developed and currently owned by Blue Yonder, Inc (formerly JDA Software). The requirement includes technical support services to assist in the transition from Blue Yonder maintained systems to Government maintained systems.
The Blue Yonder product called Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) is the backbone of the Fleet Readiness Center-s (FRC) enterprise business system called the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Depot Management System (NDMS). The Blue Yonder product called Enterprise Project Planner (EPP) is the only master scheduling / capacity management tool, which integrates with MRO and is required for effective workload planning.
The operation of MRO / EPP provides the capability for a complete, standardized and automated repairable management system for business planning, production planning, master production scheduling, material requirements planning, capacity requirements planning, and the execution support systems for capacity and material.
MRO is the single production system used by FRCs East, Southeast, and Southwest to produce aircraft, engine, component, manufacturing, and in-service repair for the US Navy. The following operations automated and streamlined within Blue Yonder-s MRO application: schedule all work, induct work, provide a gross demand plan of parts to DLA, order material, perform evaluation and examination on inducted workload, perform shop floor operations, ensure quality inspections on work, and sign off on work performed.
