SUMMARY:Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 5,is issuing this request for sources sought notice in order to identify vendors that are interested inand capable of providing contractor services. For a contractor that can conduct a comprehensive survey of the entire Washington DC VAMC campus to identify any steam and/or hot water systems utilizing Bolt 307. STATEMENT OF WORKCampus Survey and Replacement of Bolt 307Location: Department of Veterans AffairsWashington DC VA Medical Center50 Irving St NWWashington DC, 20422Project Number: 688-25-3-459-0269The contractor shall conduct a comprehensive survey of the entire VAMC campus to identify any steam and/or hot water systems utilizing Bolt 307. The survey will include, but is not limited to, the following system components:Steam TrapsIncoming High-Pressure Steam SystemPressure Reduction StationsHeat ExchangersFacility Distribution Steam Piping (50 PSI)Facility Distribution Steam Piping ( 50 PSI)Facility Distribution Heating Water PipingFacility Domestic Hot Water Systems1. Survey Planning and DocumentationThe contractor shall develop a detailed plan of action for executing the survey. This plan shall be based on a review of existing as-built drawings and coordination meetings with VA engineering personnel. The survey must be conducted in the following priority order:Priority 1: Critical High-Pressure SystemsPriority 2: Medium-Pressure SystemsPriority 3: Hot Water SystemsThe contractor shall document survey findings in an Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet shall include the following fields:Priority Level (1 High Pressure, 2 Medium Pressure, 3 Hot Water)Building NumberRoom NumberType of System or EquipmentTotal Quantity of BoltsQuantity of Bolt 307 IdentifiedEstimated Level of Effort for Replacement (in man-hours)2. Field Survey ExecutionAs each area or room is surveyed, the contractor shall update the spreadsheet in real time with the collected data....
