3. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Washington and Grayson County
4. ACQUISITION INFORMATION: The USDA-FS CSA11 on behalf of the George Washington and Jefferson National Forest anticipates soliciting and awarding a project under Subpart 36.3 - Two-Phase Design-Build Selection Procedures.
Total Value of Contract/Order of Magnitude: The contract value is estimated between $200M to $300M inclusive of the base and all option items.
Bonding Capacity. Companies/Joint Ventures shall be required to provide payment and performance bonds per 52.228-15 Performance and Payment Bonds-Construction as part of the contract award.
Subcontracting. Companies/Joint Ventures will be required to provide subcontract plans per 52.219-9 Small Business Subcontracting Plan if selected to proceed to Phase II.
5. Project Description: This project is for the design-build of the Virginia Creeper Bridge and Trail Reconstruction. The Virginia Creeper National Recreation Trail (VCNRT) is a popular thirty-four -mile rail-to-trail in Washington and Grayson Counties in Southwest Virginia.
