This is a Sources Sought Notice issued solely to gather information for market research and planning purposes. This notice is not a solicitation. All information received in response to this notice that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to this notice do not constitute a request for quote (RFQ), request for proposal (RFP), or invitation for bid (IFB) and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 7, on behalf of WJB Dorn VA Medical Center located at 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209, is seeking sources that can provide 1 each Cryostat that is brand-name or equal to Epredia Cryostar NX70 Cryostat. The Salient Characteristics, see attached, are intended to be descriptive, not restrictive, and indicate the physical, functional, and performance capabilities of the brand name item that an "equal" item must meet to be acceptable. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334516 (size standard of 1,000 employees). The Product Service Code is 6640. See attached salient characteristics for a full description.

The Government will use the information received in response to this notice to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for fulfilling the Government-s needs.
