1.0 Purpose/Scope
The U.S. Navy Fleet has a requirement to install Digital Dental Imaging (DDI) Systems on six (6) U.S. Navy Ships in various locations throughout the world. DDI consists of servers and dental operatory computers loaded with the proprietary and U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery authorized Apteryx Software. Each ship requires the server and operatory computers loaded with U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery authorized Apteryx Software. This software and its site licenses are existing on current systems already aboard these Naval vessels. This requirement includes transferring existing data from the existing system to the new system. Additionally, the vendor will ensure the system
• Seamlessly acquires, views, prints, stores, and transfers images and data within the
ship;
• Provides a redundant system configuration for data integrity and minimize system
down time.
• Provide any refresher DDI training to the dental department staff
As part of its market research, the General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of its customer, is issuing this Sources Sought to determine if there exists an adequate number of interested and qualified contractors capable of performing the requirement as described. The Government may use the responses to this Sources Sought for information and planning purposes.
This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of GSA-s market research. No RFQ currently exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the RFQ. Please note, GSA is not required to use the open market for any resulting RFQ. This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not itself constitute an RFQ. Responses to this Sources Sought will not be considered as formal quotes and GSA does not intend to award an open market purchase order(s) or Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) based on responses to this Sources Sought.
