THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. This is not a Solicitation Announcement, nor is it a Request for Proposal. This request does not obligate the Government in any contract award. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District is issuing the sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support the requirement for civil works construction. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 237990. In accordance with FAR 36.204, Disclosure of the Magnitude of the Construction Project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
The anticipated Period of Performance is 120 days After Notice to Proceed.
The Brunswick Inner Harbor Dredging Contract provides construction services, including furnishing personnel, transportation, mobilization and demobilization, equipment and materials required in connection with maintenance dredging. This contract is traditionally performed with hydraulic cutterhead dredge, and the duration is expected to be 120 days from notice to proceed. Up to 600 thousand cubic yards of maintenance material is expected to be removed from the inner harbor.
The work is located in Brunswick Harbor Georgia deep draft navigation project. Brunswick Harbor is located in Glynn County, Georgia, 70 statute miles south of the Savannah Harbor, Georgia, and 25 statute miles north of Fernandina Harbor, Florida. Brunswick Inner Harbor channel is 36ft. deep MLLW and 400ft. wide through St. Simon Sound, Brunswick River, Turtle River, South Brunswick River, and East River.
