The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Mid-Atlantic is seeking eligible small business firms capable of performing comprehensive building fire protection system maintenance and repair at Naval Station Great Lakes, Great Lakes, IL.
This is a Sources Sought Synopsis announcement, a market survey for information to be used for preliminary planning purposes. The information received will be used within the Navy to facilitate the decision-making process and will not be disclosed outside of the agency. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors for market research purposes and to determine whether to set-aside the requirement for small business concerns.
No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any requested follow-up information. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than market research. General Work Requirements:
Except where otherwise stated, the Contractor shall perform preventive maintenance, inspection, testing, certification, repair, alteration, demolition, and minor construction for Wet/Dry Chemical & Clean Agent Fire Suppression Systems, Fire Pump Systems, Exterior Propane Systems, Carbon Dioxide Extinguisher Recharge Systems, and High Temperature Exhaust Fans at fire training, operations, and administrative buildings.
