The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is to gain knowledge of potential business firms that have the technical capabilities and capacity required of the government. Responses to this Sources Sought Announcement will be used by the Government in making appropriate acquisition decisions. Background/Overview:The NOAA Fisheries Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AKFSC) Auke Bay Lab (ABL) in Juneau, Alaska, has several upcoming maintenance and construction projects that will require aggregate materials, in addition to regular snow removal and trail maintenance projects. Aggregate includes sand, pea gravel, sanding chips, D-1, concrete and other large media upon request. Material for snow removal and trail maintenance are critical for safe operations. Pea gravel and sand are used for traction on the parking lots and sidewalks in winter conditions. D-1 and other materials are used for trail maintenance and to repair washouts on the trails at LPW, so that staff may safely transit to and from the weir.
The purpose of this acquisition is to procure aggregate materials for the Auke Bay Laboratories in Juneau, Alaska, where the vendor will provide aggregate materials upon request and will picked up by the Government within two hours of placing the order.
