U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Division in support of U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, Soldier Center (DEVCOM-SC) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to Gerber Technology LLC located at 24 Industrial Park Road West, Tolland, CT 06084-2806 under the authority prescribed in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
The requirement is for the purchase of the maintenance, calibration, and support for the hardware and software for certain Gerber Systems at Natick Soldier Systems Center for a base year, four option years, and an option to extend services up to six-months.
The Gerber Systems are manufactured by Gerber Technology LLC and it has been determined as the only viable contractor for this effort. Other vendors have been considered, but Gerber Technology directly provides maintenance, calibration, and support for these systems and does not license service representatives from other companies; no equivalent products or services that will meet the Government-s requirements are known.
