This is not a request for quote/proposal. Pursuant to FAR 5.203(a), Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Directorate (WHS/AD), on behalf of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Critical Technologies (OASD(CT))., intends to award a short-term sole source extension contract to the incumbent contractor, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) [CAGE Code: 6XWA8; 12010 SUNSET HILLS RD FL 4, RESTON, VA 20190 USA, United States]. The Contractor is currently performing services under GSA Contract Number GS00Q14OADU130, Task Order number 47QFCA20F0019, with services concluding on September 17, 2025. The anticipated period of performance for the bridge contract is for six months, from September 18, 2025, through March 17, 2025.
The anticipated award will be made under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.5, Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Servicers and 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(c) 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. For DoD, NASA, and the Coast Guard, services may be deemed to be available only from the original source in the case of follow-on contracts for the continued provision of highly specialized services when it is likely that award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition.
This Contractor is required to provide specialized technical and program management support with the day-to-day operations and execution of responsibilities and functions of the ASD(CT). Currently, the Government is establishing an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, and the requirements are going through the procurement process.
