PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract with SPECTRO Analytical Instruments Inc., to purchase a preventative maintenance agreement for their SPECTRLAB Optical Emission Spectrometer instruments.

The FBI, Laboratory Division (LD), intends to purchase preventative maintenance services for their SPECTRO Analytical Instruments. This service agreement will ensure preventive maintenance needs, instrument failures, instrument upgrades, and other necessary items are addressed in a timely and cost-effective manner. Support and maintenance for these instruments are critical for the FBI Laboratory to meet its mission. SPECTRO Analytical Instruments is the sole service provider of SPECTRO instruments and their associated peripherals; therefore, they are the only company capable of providing the necessary service and support. Justification is available upon request.
This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's System for Awards Management website (www.SAM.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Classification System Code is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing and Product Service Code, 6640, Laboratory Equipment and Supplies.
The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, per FAR 5.207(16)(ii) all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All submissions shall be accompanied by an authorized reseller of SPECTRO preventative maintenance services.
