Description : The HDOA is issuing this RFQ to estaqblish a PDP to provide an available, affordable, and environmentally accessible mechanism for the proper disposal of canceled, suspended, unwanted, and unlableed commercial pesticides.Offerors should have experience with the following, but not limited to: developing a site work plan; designing a health and safety plan; properly collecting, packaging, and transporting pesticide waste at collection events; properly treating, storing, and disposing of pesticide waste at appropriate facilities; recording and maintaining records of pesticide waste and containers collected; screening and identifying unknown pesticide products; classifying pesticide waste; and, developing emergency action plans.The prospective offeror should have the necessary expertise and professional knowledge to successfully and properly collect, segregate, containerize, transport, store, dispose, characterize, document, weigh and manifest CSUU pesticides covered under the Universal Waste Rule, as described in this RFQ.It is expected that the total amount of unwanted pesticides may exceed 11,000 lbs (5,000 kilograms); the Contractor must have an EPA Identification number as a Large Quantity Handler of Universal Waste.
