PRESOLICITATION: NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 21 (NCO 21) hereby gives notice of the Government-s intent to negotiate a sole source equipment removal and installation services with Steris, the original equipment manufacturer of the equipment for a FSS procurement pursuant to FAR 8.402(f). The procurement is for VHA Northern California Healthcare System. The procurement will include deinstallation, disposal, and installation services from the open market via the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Steris Corporation. The sterilizer machines and applicable accessories as listed below are a part of an established FSS Contract with the OEM. The plan details are as follows:

This action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii), only one will meet the Government-s needs. Only one source is capable of responding due to the unique or specialized nature of the services. It is the Government-s belief that the proposed candidate is the only vendor that can meet the agency-s needs.
