Notice of Intent to Sole Source RequirementThe Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Healthcare System, Network Contracting Office 1, Regional Procurement Office East intends to negotiate a sole source contract for 6530- Hospital Furniture, Equipment, Utensils, and Supplies, other than full and open competition will be utilized to award to a service-disabled veteran owned small business firm for this procurement over the SAT, IAW 41 USC §3304(a)(5), 38 U.S. Code § 8127(c), as implemented by FAR 6.302-5. Competition is restricted on this procurement due to only one source capable of providing the supplies or services required. The associated NAICS code for this is 339112. The vendor will be Veterans Healthcare Supply Solutions (VHSS), 2615 Port Industrial Drive, Suite 405 Jacksonville, FL 32226.Description of Supplies/Services:The Contracting Activity is looking to acquire, delivery, installation, accessories and 1-Year Warranty for (1) RELIANCE 6500 Endoscope Drying and Storage Cabinet (Model No. REL650020MU) for Jamaica Plain VAMC. This acquisition is required to replace existing endoscope storage cabinets that were damaged beyond economical repair due to a facility flood. The RELIANCE 6500 Endoscope Drying and Storage Cabinet is designed to manage access to endoscope inventory, track key parameters, and easily access vertically hanging endoscopes, all in an organized and controlled drying environment. The location of the service will be at Jamaica Plain VA Medical Center 150 S. Huntington Avenue Jamaica Plain, MA 02130-4817. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement.
