- Description:
- BCRTA requires Stop the Bleed kits to be available to employees in all locations and in all vehicles. Stop the Bleed kits contain a tourniquet, trauma dressing, a permanent marker, trauma shears, wound packing material and nitrile gloves. A single use kit will be place in every BCRTA vehicle. This will allow employees to administer lifesaving aid in the event of a serious injury or act of violence. Cabinets containing travel bags that hold 6-8 (depending on vendor) will be installed inside the branches. Hamilton, due to the building's physical layout, will install three (3) cabinets. Cabinets will be installed in the garage, Ops and Administration. Middletown and Oxford will each install one cabinet in a central location within the building. These kits will allow each office to administer lifesaving aide in the event of serious, life-threatening injury or acts of violence.
