The Coast Guard Yard has a requirement for a storage mezzanine to store large supplies and equipment on an overhead platform, as well as below.The storage mezzanine platform will be approximately 45 x 28 feet with a height of approximately 10 feet. The storage mezzanine will need a stairwell at a minimum 36" wide. The storage mezzanine will have a minimum height clearance of 8' 6" feet. The minimum weight capacity of the storage mezzanine can hold should be at a minimum 200 lbs. per sqft. Mezzanine will have at a minimum 1 double swing gate. The storage mezzanine will have a 4" kick plate and handrails that enclose the mezzanine for safety measures.
