Description:
The Town of Nantucket (hereinafter \"Town\") through its Natural Resources Department, invites qualified responders to submit proposals for the Strategic Retreat and Relocation Program. The goal is to develop an island-wide strategic retreat and relocation plan to reduce risk in High and Priority Action Areas with extreme coastal risk where other structural, non-structural, and nature-based approaches are not feasible or will not effectively reduce coastal risks. The plan must be equitable, legal, implementable and community supported. It must include and build upon what the Towns Coastal Resilience Plan set forth, be cohesive with other Town plans, and take into consideration the historic context. In addition, funding sources should be targeted for each recommendation; and high and low estimates need to be included. A robust community wide education and outreach strategy should be incorporated throughout the plan and into the overall program.
