Description:
Sealed bids for the Street Resurfacing Project will be received by the City Clerk's Office, until 2:00 P.M., on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in Council Chambers, City Hall, 12325 Manchester Rd, Des Peres MO 63131. Two copies of the bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the project name, date, and time of opening clearly written on the envelope.The first bid took place on April 3, and all bids were rejected. The scope has been adjusted for this rebid.The Scope of Work consists of repairs to nine different streets. Four streets will receive full-depth reclamation (SLURRY), followed by an asphalt overlay. Four streets are currently concrete, and following minor base repair, will be overlaid with asphalt. One street currently consists of full-depth asphalt with concrete curbs, so it will be milled and overlaid. After the asphalt overlays, an asphalt rejuvenator will be applied to all streets. Traffic control and other incidental items shall be included as shown in the specifications.Bid packages will be available Monday, April 14, 2025 from the Des Peres City Clerk, 12325 Manchester Rd, Des Peres MO 63131 or they can be downloaded by visiting http://www.desperesmo.org/bids.aspxNot less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workers performing under this Contract in this area according to the rates determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri.A bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in the best interest of the City.
