The Media Prep department currently has the carousal designs filling machine. They aretop loading feeder and stacker design which increases the chance of contamination withthe sterile media in the petri dishes. We have issues with petri dish jams, dishescracking not restacking correctly, which causes frustration and lower productivity. The PetriSwiss PS900 has a different body design. It uses a conveyor belt to load and unloadpetri dishes instead of the carousal design.
This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals, but instead a market research method to determine interested sources. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
