Description
This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 5.2 - Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. The contracting office for this notice is the 772 Enterprise Sourcing Squadron/PKD, Tyndall AFB, FL 32403.
In accordance with FAR 13.501, the 772 ESS intends to award a sole source purchase order to Trane U.S, Inc to support Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (Air Force Specialty Code 3E1X1) military personnel and Federal Wage System (Series 5306 and 5415) civilian personnel across operational locations worldwide. The intended training objective to be purchased will provide HVAC/R students exposure and hands-on experience with the set-up, operation and troubleshooting of commercial systems, advanced electrical troubleshooting, refrigeration troubleshooting and chilled water system fundamentals. This training must also cover the operation, diagnosis and troubleshooting of the Trane Precedent and Voyager rooftops with ReliaTel™ and/or Symbio 700 controls; the operating characteristics, physical relationships, operation and checkout of 140-ton to 500-ton RTAC chillers; the operation, diagnosis and troubleshooting for the Trane CGAM air cooled scroll chiller (ACS), with additional detailed coverage of R-410a refrigeration system components, chiller logging and maintenance procedures.. The resulting purchase order will be awarded to Trane U.S, Inc for a period of one year with two option years. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 611519, Other Technical and Trade School, with a small business size standard of $21M, and the PFS/FSC code is U008 Education/Training - Training/Curriculum Development will be used for this requirement.
