This Solicitation Is Being Conducted By The Georgia Department Of Transportation Under Its Authority To Procure Services Ancillary To The Construction And Maintenance Of A Public Road (as Defined In O.c.g.a 32-1-3 (24) As Provided For In O.c.g.a 32-2-61 (c) And (d) (1) (d). This Electronic Request For Quote (erfq) Is Being Issued To Establish A Services Contract For District 1 Sweeping And Drain Cleaning Along Interstate And State Routes Within District 1 In The State Of Georgia. This Includes Mechanical Sweeping Of Highway Shoulders And Bridge Decks And Cleaning Of Drains On Shoulders, Medians, Ramps, And Bridges. Work Under This Rfq Consists Of Furnishing All Labor, Materials, Tools, Equipment, Means Of Transportation, And Incidentals Necessary To Perform The Services. Contractor Must Furnish Equipment In Good Operating Condition And Operated By Properly Trained And Qualified Personnel. The Contractor Must Make A Good Faith Effort To Furnish The Department The Fully Operational Equipment Needed To Perform Sweeping And Drain Cleaning At Such Time, And At Such Location(s) As Per These Specifications And/or As Directed By The Engineer.
