TARGETS LAUNCH LOCATION REQUEST FOR STAMENT OF CAPABILITIES (SOCS)
The US Space Force (USSF), Space Systems Command (SSC), Assured Access To Space (AATS), Small Launch and Targets Division (AAMX), Rocket Systems Launch Program (RSLP), Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, NM is interested in obtaining a Statement of Capabilities (SOC) to understand which US launch locations support the requirements specified in the Background. Responses to this request for information (RFI) will be considered in the Government-s development of acquisition strategies.
Background:
The primary purpose of this request for information is to determine feasibility of a launch location for delivering targets into a ballistic trajectory. The Government is looking to understand which US launch locations are able to support the following requirements:
All target vehicles must ground launch at 110-220-degree azimuth into Broad Ocean Area (BOA) south of the Aleutian Islands to align with additional mission requirements. Debris patterns from target impact will likely occur at an altitude of between 120 km and 200 km and must align with environmental regulatory requirements.SOC Guidelines:
The Government is requesting interested launch locations respond by submitting a SOC summarizing their overall ability and approach to meet the specific requirements. The RFI objective is to assess established launch locations to determine if they meet the necessary requirements for the mission set described in the Background.
In addition to addressing the requirements listed above, please provide the technical capabilities of the launch location, including but not limited to:
(A) Trajectory capabilities. Describe the azimuths that the launch location supports without additional maneuvering made necessary. Discuss any relevant limitations to reaching specific azimuths.
