- A Public Hearing will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Room 103 Commissioners Office where citizens may be heard on the property tax rates proposed to be set by Linn County. The tax rates proposed to be set are to produce the revenues which the budget for the year of 2025 shows to be required from the property tax. Each tax rate is determined by dividing the amount of revenue required by the current assessed valuation. The result is multiplied by 100 so the tax rate will be expressed in centers per $100 calculation.
