- Description : Solicitation for Taxi Dispatcher ServicesDepartment of Transportation - Harbors Oahu DistrictThe DOT Harbors Oahu District is seeking Taxi Dispatcher Services to support select cruise ship operations, primarily at Pier 2.Scope of Work:•Dispatchers will manage taxi operations for arriving cruise ships, ensuring smooth passenger flow and efficient taxi queuing.•Normal operations require three (3) dispatchers per port call, each working a four (4)-hour shift.•The number of port calls and work hours will vary based on cruise ship schedules, available at Hawaii.Portcall.com.Dispatcher Roles & Responsibilities:•Queuing Line Dispatcher: Manages the primary taxi line, directing taxis to pick up passengers.•Overflow Line Dispatcher: Monitors the overflow area, ensuring a steady supply of taxis to the main queue.•Floating Dispatcher: Oversees general operations, assisting with taxi movement and passenger needs.•Dispatchers must be equipped with reliable communication devices to coordinate vehicle movement.•Enforce taxi permit regulations and report violations to the Harbor Master-s Office as needed.Contract Details:•This is an “as-needed” service contract, with a not-to-exceed limit of $99,999.00.•Work hours are dependent on the cruise ship schedule and may fluctuate accordingly.Interested parties must demonstrate experience in taxi dispatch operations and compliance enforcement.
