- The Telfair County Board Of Commissioners, (hereafter Referred To As ¿county¿) Is Soliciting Proposals From Experienced Contractors To Provide Clearing And Snagging Services To Remove Debris From Hurricane Helene In Streams At Four (4) Sites Throughout The County. This Project Is Part Of The Usda Natural Resources Conservation Service¿s (nrcs) Environmental Watershed Protection (ewp) Program. The Work To Be Performed Includes The Removal Of Selective Vegetation From The Bank (clearing) And/or The Selective Removal Of Snags, Drifts, Or Other Obstructions (snagging) From Natural Or Improved Channels And Streams And Vegetating Disturbed Areas According To Nrcs Standard Practices And Specifications. All Work Must Be Completed By October 27, 2025. Proposers Are Encouraged To Attend A Pre-proposal Meeting And Site Visit Scheduled For Thursday, September 11th At 9:00 Am At The Telfair Board Of Commissioners Office At 91 Telfair Ave, Suite A, Mcrae-helena, Ga 31055. There Will Not Be A Summary Of The Meeting Provided To Those Not In Attendance.
