- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are not being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued.
The Defense Health Agency Healthcare Contracting Division - Southeast (DHA HCD- Southeast) intends to award a firm fixed price, sole source purchase order to Rees Scientific Corporation located at 1007 Whitehead Road Trenton, NJ 08638 for preventative and corrective maintenance of the Rees Scientific Corporation Temperature Monitoring System. The statutory authority for the sole source procurement of these supplies and services is Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting from a Single Source, which states, “For purchases not exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT), (i) Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.” This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
