Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with BAE Systems, INC. (CAGE Code: 1BNT5) for the procurement of hardware, spares, and incidental services to include repair and replacement, engineering support, and technical data necessary for life cycle engineering and sustainment of Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Products which include the AN/UPX-37 Digital Interrogator, AN/UPX-41(C)/ 45(C) Digital Interrogator, AN/UPX-42(C) Digital Interrogator, AN/UPX-50(C) Digital Interrogator, AN/APX-117(V)/118(V) Common Transponder, AN/APX-123(V) Common Transponder, and the OE-120( )/UPX Antenna Group.
The Government intends to issue a five year Basic Ordering Agreement with BAE Systems the Original Equipment Manufacturer and the sole designer, developer, and owner of the data rights for the required AN/UPX-37 Digital Interrogator, AN/UPX-41(C)/ 45(C) Digital Interrogator, AN/UPX-42(C) Digital Interrogator, AN/UPX-50(C) Digital Interrogator, and the OE-120( )/UPX Antenna Group and is the only source that can provide the required hardware, spares, and incidental services necessary for life cycle engineering and sustainment.
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate under the authority of 10 USC 3204(a)(1), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received by the response date and time of this notice. Responses must be sent via email to the POC listed.
