The Solution Will Provide Accessible, Consistent Breastfeeding Support Via Phone Calls And Text Messaging, As Well As Facilitate Referrals To Local Resources Including, But Not Limited To, The North Carolina Women, Infants, And Children (Wic) Program And The North Carolina Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program. The Solution Will Allow Parents To Access Professional Lactation Support Regardless Of Their Geographic Location Or Financial Means And At Critical Times When Parents Are Vulnerable To Misinformation And Immediately When Needed And Useful, Such As When Struggling To Breastfeed At Home.
