Reference#: N0025923N0001 Naval Medicine Readiness and Training Command San Diego (NMRTCSD) intends to award a firm fixed price contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source being available to meet the Government-s needs, to: SAKURA FINETEK U.S.A., INC. 1750 W 214TH ST Torrance, California 90501-2857, United States The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811210; the business size standard is 30 (millions of dollars). The objective of this sole source award is to procure services maintenance and materials necessary for the repair/preventive maintenance of government owned Anatomic Pathology equipment to include: Sakura Tissue-Tek cover slip machine (Serial # 65000379, ECN 134788) located in the Histology Department at Naval Medical Center, San Diego (NMCSD) to ensure dependable and reliable equipment operation. The scope of work performed under these specifications includes the furnishing of all labor, and parts to perform all repairs on equipment listed, to assure continued operation at their designed efficiency and capacity. To state in accordance with statement of work. The Sakura Tissue-Tek Glas g2 Automated Coverslipper is used in Histology to apply glass coverslips onto microscopic slides. The Histology department's output of microscopic slides is approximately 75,000 slides per year. This request is for base plus four option years service. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for the requirement.
