This system informs the physician of the whole blood ability to form a clot in a manner more closely resembling the actual in vivo blood clotting dynamics of the patient. This system allows for more accurate usage of limited and expensive commodities such as platelet concentrates, cryoprecipitate, plasma, and packed red cells.
