Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price contract on a limited competition basis to Columbus Jack Corporation, a subsidiary of Tronair, Inc. (CAGE 00994) or Dutch Valley Supply Co. (CAGE 31068) for the purchase of the Towable 1500-lb Capacity Utility Crane, NSN 1730-01-681-7042, P/N: 9319-011, Quantity 3 in support of the MH-60R Foreign Military Sales Spanish Armada Program.

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements" for this action. Columbus Jack Corporation, as the sole developer, designer, and manufacturer of the Utility Crane, owns the proprietary data and as such is the only source capable of manufacturing the crane. The required crane is only available through Columbus Jack Corporation and their only authorized distributor, Dutch Valley Supply Co. The Government does not have the technical data or equipment to obtain this item from an alternate source.

(THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any responses received. There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above.
