Notice of Intent for award: The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service intends to award a sole source requirement to ICF Jones & Stokes Inc. a contract to track delta smelt movement in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta (Delta). The work will include land- and boat-based deployment and retrieval of acoustic receivers, tags, and tagged delta smelt in the Delta. The work will also include laboratory and computer work at the contractor¿s facilities. This contract will be base plus two optional years.Over the past few years, ICF, in collaboration with UC Davis and PNNL, has been permitted to use cultured Delta Smelt to develop and refine surgical procedures to maximize survival and tag retention of acoustically tagged individuals.
