- Request for Information No. SFMTA-2025-35-LOC: Traffic Signal Central Management Software The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA or Agency), through this Request for Information (RFI), is soliciting information from market participants for a potential procurement of a traffic signal management system to upgrade the City and County of San Francisco-s (City) existing traffic signals communication system. As part of this RFI, the SFMTA would like interested vendors (Respondents) to deploy their potential solution on a limited scale (demonstration), at no cost to the SFMTA, aiming to test the effectiveness of potential solutions and compatibility with existing infrastructure. The goal of this RFI is to (1) receive comments on the draft Statement of Work (Appendix A), (2) demonstrate potential solutions, (3) and to obtain high-level budgetary estimates for the cost of completing the scope of work set forth in the draft Statement of Work (Appendix A). The RFI is attached to this Sourcing Event. If you are interested in submitting a response, please review the Statement of Need and provide feedback as requested in Section III (Submittal Instructions) of the RFI document. Responses will not be accepted through the City and County of San Francisco's Supplier Portal website. This is not a Request for Proposals (RFP) or Invitation for Bids (IFB) (collectively referred to as Solicitation). The submittal of a response to this RFI does not guarantee use of the information provided. The SFMTA, at its sole discretion, will determine if a Solicitation may be issued at a later date. Any Solicitation issued by the SFMTA may differ significantly in content from the draft Statement of Work described in this RFI. This RFI is to be used solely for the purpose of industry review and demonstration of solutions, and the SFMTA assumes no responsibility for any other use of this document.
