Tyrrell County Has Received A $900,000 Cdbg-Cv To Address Covid Related Needs. The County Is In The Process Of Submitting An Amendment To The Rural Economic Development Division (Redd), Nc Department Of Commerce To Enable A Portion Of Grant Funds To Be Used Toward The Design And Construction Of Improvements To Tyrrell CountyâS Health Department Building. Cdbg Contract Provisions Must Be Incorporated Into Contract Documents. Cdbg-Cv Funds Must Be Spent/Drawndown By March 3, 2025. Proposed Improvements Include: 1. Modifications To Waiting And Intake Office Area; 2. Lab Room Renovations; 3. Roof/Ceiling/Wall/Floor Repair Throughout Building; And 4. Portico For Testing/Medicine Intake/Delivery. Tyrrell County Is Seeking Qualification Statements From Interested Firms To Provide Professional Services That Include Design, Bidding, Contract Award, And Construction Observation/Administration Services. It Is The Intent Of The County To Obtain Qualification Statements For Comparison By Soliciting Proposals From An Adequate Number Of Sources To Permit Reasonable Competition Consistent With The Nature And Requirements Of The Project. The Qualifications Of Firms Submitting Proposals Will Be Evaluated As Provided For In The âAdministrative Requirements For Grants And Cooperative Agreements To State, Local And Federally Recognized Indian Tribal Governments (24 Cfr 85). Tyrrell County Reserves The Right To Make Such Investigations To Determine The Qualifications And Ability Of Each Offeror To Perform The Work In A Satisfactory Manner Within The Specified Time Frame. It Is The Intent Of The County To Award The Contract Subject To The Execution Of The Contract Occurring After The Amendment Approval Date, If Approved. Five Sets Of Qualification Statements Must Be Addressed To David Clegg, Manager, Tyrrell County, 108 South Water Street, Columbia, North Carolina 27925. Qualification Statements Must Be Received By 2:00Pm, March 26, 2024.
