Description : ADVERTISEMENT FOR EXECUTIVE ARCHITECTUCLA requests a written response to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to select an Executive Architect for the proposed UCLA Biomedical Science Research Building (BSRB), B64 Dry Heat Sterilizer Replacement Project (Project # 907078.01), located at 615 Charles E. Young Drive South, Los Angeles CA, 90095. The building is a 5-story building with a basement. The proposed project involves the removal of a decommissioned steam sterilizer and replacement with a new dry heat sterilizer. Advance work preparing for the installation of the new autoclave will be required. This preparatory scope of work will include, but not be limited to, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire life-safety work, along with the removal of existing steam pipes. The implementation of the project is dependent upon the availability of funding. The construction cost for the project has not yet been determined and is dependent upon phasing. It is anticipated to be between $1-1.5 million, depending on the agreed-upon scope of work.As applicable and based on the specific scope of work required, the design shall comply with the University of California Policy on Sustainable Practices.
