Description:
Work of the Project generally consists of construction of approximately 1 mile of new 8” and 6” water mains and abandonment of the existing corroded water mains along three streets within the City of Watsonville:Beach Street (SR 152) from Rodriguez St to Lincoln StLincoln Street (SR 152) from East Lake Avenue to East Beach StreetUnion Street from East Beach Street to East Front StreetThe contractor shall perform the work described in the project contract documents. The work includes sawcutting, asphalt pavement removal, off haul, and disposal; trench excavation and backfilling; water main construction and testing, reconnection to existing services and appurtenances; pavement restoration; providing and installing striping; maintaining traffic through work area; community communication and notifications of work schedule. The contractor shall implement at all times, the measures required by the approved Traffic Control Plan and Caltrans Encroachment Permit.Items of labor or material which are not specifically listed in the Proposal or Special Provisions as pay items, but which are shown and/or mentioned on the plans, or are required to complete the overall project, shall be considered as included in other pay items, and no additional compensation will be allowed, therefore.
