Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a delivery order to Life Support International (LSI), 2250 Cabot Blvd W #255, Langhorne, PA 19047, for new UNI-PAC III Search and Rescue (SAR) kits along with supplies and services required for 30 and 60 month sustainment. The 20-Person Search and Rescue System has been developed for the P-8A Poseidon Aircraft. The anticipated period of performance is Q4 FY2025 through Q1 FY2027 and has an intended award date of 27 September 2025.
The proposed contract action identified above are those for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, 'Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." The LSI team is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the UNI-PAC III, developed and integrated for use solely on the P-8A platform, and therefore is the only contractor with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data that can meet the Government's requirements on a timely basis.
