- This project is to convert underutilized spaces into lab spaces allowing current research to maintain grant funding. The labs will support various research within the Department of Material Science Engineering. The interior renovation will include the buildout of two (2) research labs with fume hoods and benches; buildout of office for Risk Management staff; buildout of Asset Management staff office including area for equipment and secure storage; new HVAC system and lab exhaust; new electrical transformer; required minor sitework to accommodate four (4) exterior chiller units; and required minor roof work and patch.
